I am Dale Ambrose DeShazior the 15th President of the National Cupidette Club, Inc. I was born on May 13th in Miami, Florida; and the oldest of my five siblings. I am married with two daughters and two grandsons. I attended and graduated from Msgr. Edward Pace High School; and received my nursing education from Howard University Freedmens Hospital School of Nursing.
I am a Retired Registered Nurse. I retired from the University of Miami Hospital, formerly Cedars Medical Center where I worked as a Director, Assistant Director, Supervisor, IV and Chemo Nurse, and floor Nurse in Labor and Delivery. While there I was the first President of the Professional Nursing Practice Council; Nurse of the Unit, Nurse of the Year; and received the Frist Humanitarian Award for my service to the community. I have received plaques and honors from my church St. Philip Neri and was honored by the Zetas.
I am presently a member and 2nd Vice President of the Miami Chapter of Cupidettes. I have been a member of this Organization for more than forty years and have held many offices locally and nationally.
The Cupidette Organization allows me to help others through the collaborate efforts of all our chapters. We have active Chapters in Miami, Florida; Decatur, Alabama; Chicago, Illinois; and soon to be initiated Houston, Texas. We continue to do our CIVIC duties, by sponsoring voter registration drives, encouraging Health and Wellness through yearly walks and healthy diet exchanges. We volunteer to feed the hungry, give clothes to the poor; giving of our time and treasure to CHARITY. We have provided activities to Ronald McDonald House for parents and children; Linen to Liberia, Books to Belize; and given monetarily to non-profit organization like the Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund, YMCA, and we chose a charity in the convention site we visit every year. Our annual convention allows us to SOCIALize, get together as Sisters to celebrate our accomplishments and crown a Ms. Cupidette.
