National Organization of the Miss National Cupidette community service project for Miss Cupidette 2023-2024
Miss Cupidette worked with my Houston Chapter Cupidette sisters to organize and facilitate school uniform apparel for Hobby Elementary (Houston, Tx) Wrap-Around Services. Hobby Elementary is a priority title one school that serves predominantly African American and Hispanic children in the Hiram Clarke neighborhood of Houston Texas. This was an important cause because many of the students had outgrown their school uniforms since the beginning of school in August and some guardians do not have the funds to replace the student's uniform.
In March 2024,Miss Cupidette, and the Houston Chapter Cupidettes delivered ten or more gently used and many brand new school uniform tops, 15 or more bottoms (girls and boys), five jackets, three girls tights, three fancy dresses (for student program even, and three pairs of shoes to Hobby Elementary’s Wrap-Around Specialist, Ms. Charity Lewis. We intend to continue this community service endeavor and provide thrice as many articles of clothing next year!
